Bush's mistakes being erased from transcripts

Official White House transcripts of Bush (and other administration) speeches are being edited for content; his mispronounciations, calling people by the wrong name, and using entirely wrong words are sometimes edited, thus preventing an accurate historical record.

The Federal News Service offers another source for transcripts of government officials' speeches.

Kissing Cousins

According to an SFGate article, a new scientific report states that the dangers of having children with your first cousin are not that high. But still higher than with someone unrelated. "In the general population, the risk that a child will be born with a problem such as spina bifida or cystic fibrosis is 3 to 4 percent; to that background risk, first cousins must add 1.7 to 2.8 percentage points, the researchers said."
